Krystal made her debut at 3rd Level! 66% in Third Level Test 1!!!!
Things are snowballing with Opus Dei! Here’s video clips of his second show of the year, his first try at First Level. He scored a 74% in First One and a 73% in First 3. He was awesome! Taking time to get all the basics, the details, right before starting real dressage work has paid off! Believe it or not, he’s entered in Second Level Test 1 at his third show of the year! What a talented boy!
Opus Dei on the second day of the show, Training Level Test 3, 73%! Time to move to First Level I guess! He’s rock solid when he enters the arena, especially considering it’s only his 4th show!
Opus Dei in his first test of the 2018 season. We scored 71%!
Here’s a video clip of Opus Dei, aka Oops, starting shoulder in work in the clinic at Smart Start Stable February 2018 with Kristi Wysocki. Hard to believe he wasn’t cantering under saddle a year ago! All he needs is strength for the work, he’s a quick learner and a talented horse that’s had a wonderful start under saddle making everything easy for him to learn.
Below is Oops at his second show, fourth time off of the farm, first time showing in sloppy footing. Amazingly wonderful, 75% in Training 3!! So easy to ride and show, proof yet again that basic foundational training comes first. He’s actually still not “solid” in his dressage work! So much packed in this boy yet to be unwrapped and developed.
Here’s some proof that doing foundational training, the basics first and then building in dressage is a win-win! Here is Oops at his first show. He was wonderful, easy to work with, not overwhelmed with the whole experience. This is the second time off the farm since he arrived as a yearling. He scored a 73%!!
